Bo Nickal Looks to ‘Destroy’ Colby Covington At UFC White House: It’s Personal
Bo Nickal is confident about being a part of the UFC White House event and has Colby Covington in his crosshairs, who he wants to dismantle on June 14.
The bad blood between Covington and Nickal started brewing at the RAF 05 pre-fight presser, where Covington and his opponent Luke Rockhold took massive digs at Nickal after the latter opted not to compete at RAF 05 due to his opponent Yoel Romero missing weight by seven pounds.
‘Chaos’ mocked Nickal and called him ‘a bum who got broken by a Dutch kickboxer.’
Bo Nickal previously spoke out about Colby Covington crossing the line at the presser and even alleged that he offered ‘Chaos’ a chance to wrestle him for his entire purse, but the 37-year-old declined.
Now, the 205-pound RAF champ wants to settle the bad blood with Covington by locking horns inside the octagon.
Bo Nickal wants to destroy Colby Covington, but thinks ‘Chaos’ won’t sign the contract
In a recent interview with MMA Fighting on SBN, Bo Nickal doubled down on why fighting Colby Covington at the White House makes so much sense. The 30-year-old opined that if the bout does come to fruition, it would be a grudge match, as Covington is someone he genuinely hates and wants to beat up.
“I’ll be very honest- The Colby matchup makes so much sense. I think that the fight to make. And for me, most of the guys that I’ve competed against up until this point in MMA, I haven’t really had like motivation to beat that person up specifically. The opponent was just the opponent. And this one is definitely a little more personal, obviously, with a lot of the comments he’s made and stuff. I feel like it would be fun to be able to compete against somebody that I actually want to fight, which there’s just extra motivation there for me, which would make it a lot of fun.”
However, he doesn’t believe Covington will accept the fight:
“I think that the biggest problem is Colby’s not dumb. He’s a smart guy, so I don’t think he would want to accept a fight against me. I think he knows what I would do to him in a fight and that would not be really the best move for him in some ways. In other ways, maybe he thinks it’s a win‑win situation: everybody would expect me to destroy him, and he still gets to be on the White House card, talk his crap, get his attention. So, it’s hard to say. I think the biggest obstacle is just getting him to agree to it.”

Colby Covington, on the other hand, has teased a move up to middleweight and has also shown interest in competing on the South Lawn of the White House. However, ‘Chaos’ has no interest in fighting “quitter” Bo Nickal.
