Posted on June 15, 2012, 05:28 PM by Mike DrahotaNews just arose that the UFC's first foray into Nottingham, England, will feature a shootout between two of the promotion's best rising Heavyweights. Stipe Miocic and Stefan Struve are set to battle it out in the main event of UFC on Fuel TV 5 the September 29th card. Stefan Struve officially revealed the news today via Twitter.com:
Fighting Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC Fuel 5! Happy to come back to Fight in Europe, proud to be main event! It's gonna be great!!
— Stefan Struve (@StefanStruve) June 15, 2012
Both of the young prospects were in action at the historic UFC 146, with Struve submitting Levar Johnson and Miocic knocking out Shane del Rosario. With a win, either fighter could be close to the title mix in the suddenly very talented UFC Heavyweight division. Only twenty-four years old, Struve possesses an impressive 8-3 record in the Octagon with 4 submissions and 3(T)KOs. Miocic himself is undefeated at 9-0, winning his only three bouts in the UFC. His last two fights ended with him earning two first-round knockouts. The fight has the makings of a great Heavyweight battle and should gauge the readiness of the two combatants for top competition.
Other fights featured on the Nottingham card include Andy Ogle vs. Akira Corassani and Brad Pickett vs. Yves Jabouin, and Dan Hardy fighting a yet-to-be-named opponent. This fall's UFC on Fuel TV 5 from Nottingham, England just got a lot more exciting.

Wow sick fight!
Huge fan of Struve but I feel this is a bad match up for him, really good wrestler that can keep it standingand away from Struve's subs and has KO power with golden glove trophy to back it up.
If Struve sticks to his new style of fighting tall and using his range then he has a good chance but if he gets in to a brawl then it is going to be a messy night for him.
STIPE !! i think he is gunna win he has got alot of heart, his last fight was awesome too and hes a killer if he can close the distance on struve it will be a KO
I see Stipe throwing a flurry getting him against the cage and finsihing him
I feel like it's a bad mtchup for him but wow what a fight ! I'm rooting for Struve in this one but i wouldn't be surprised/sad to see Miocic win cuz it would give the HW division even more depth.
Bad matchup for Struve*
I don't know man... when people get into brawls with him it looks like hes losing then out of nowhere people get KO'ed.
he needs to pull guard like he did to Johnson imo.
That was a great moment against Johnson. Not quite why people have hit "funny"...
Great match up. I think Struve has kept improving and is a lot better than when he lost to Travis Browne.
But this is a tough match up for him. Stipe is a beast.
I was worried that Stefan wouldn't be able to withstand the initial barrage in his last fight, then he pulled of that sick/ slick arm bar... Wow!
Somehow, I don't think pulling guard against Stipe is a good idea, I think Stefan will need to work from the mount to win... I like both of these fighters... but have no idea who will win.
Another great main event for the U.K.
