Video: Conor McGregor Receives Warm Homecoming In Dublin

Conor

In less than two-and-a-half years, UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor has risen to never-before-seen levels of popularity for a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter.

And never before was that on display more than it was at last Friday’s (September 4, 2015) ‘Go Big’ media launch event in Las Vegas, where McGregor essentially hijacked the entire press conference by calling out each and every fighter who got on the mic.

A few of his best quips were his statement that he loved rival champion Jose Aldo ‘like his b****’ before nearly getting into a fistfight during their heated staredown, his declaration that it would be ‘red panty night’ at lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos’ house if he ever signed on to fight him.

The ‘Notorious’ made an impact on the event like no fighter has before, and even though it may have bordered on over-the-top, it just can’t be denied that McGregor’s electric personality is turning him into a magnetic personality for the sport, love him or hate him.

Returning home to his native Dublin after the ‘Go Big’ spectacle, he expectedly received quite the rousing welcome from his Irish fans. Check out his highly anticipated arrival courtesy of the UFC’s official Instagram account:
