Jorge Masvidal Seemingly Responds To Canelo Alvarez Snub

Canelo Alvarez

Jorge Masvidal has seemingly responded to Canelo Alvarez snubbing his callout attempt.

Masvidal called the Mexican boxing star out after his TKO win over Nate Diaz at UFC 244 earlier this month. “Gamebred” said he wanted to “destroy” the multi-weight champion in his own sport. However, responding in a recent interview, Alvarez said Masvidal has no business fighting in boxing, and likewise, he himself has no business fighting inside of an MMA cage.

“With all due respect, I always felt that I have no business being in an MMA cage,” Alvarez said. “I think the same, if they came to box, they have no business being there. From a business standpoint, yes, it’s attractive, but it’s not my priority. With all due respect to everyone. I respect what they do in their sport, they’re great fighters. But, boxing is just another thing.”

Now, Masvidal has Tweeted out only hours later, suggesting he’s ready to fight anyone, any time, and under any ruleset.

Any one. Any time. Any where. Gloves. No gloves. Real fighters fight. I’ll break your face and laugh all the way to bank #theresurrection
