“Neanderthal” Frederic Vosgröne looks to Conquer Oktagon MMA Light-Heavyweight Division- Oktagon 69
On Saturday night, Frederic Vosgrone, better known as the “Neanderthal” makes his OktagonMMA debut. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist will take on Jorick Montagnac on the main card of Oktagon 69. When Vosgröne was announced by the promotion, it was met with a lot of excitement.
Vosgröne was announced by the promotion two weeks ago and immediately called out the OktagonMMA Light Heavyweight Champion, Will Fleury. Stating that he is “Here to hunt Will Fleury”. Will Fleury said over Instagram, “You’re a funny c*nt I’ll give you that. Win a few fights and we can talk”.
With the OktagonMMA Light-Heavyweight roster being relatively shallow, a win for Frederic Vosgröne over the #6 ranked Jorick Montagnac, could push him into a #1 contender fight within just two fights with the promotion.

Vosgröne holds a 3-0 professional MMA record, with all his wins coming by way of submission. Vosgröne had his first professional MMA fight in May 2021, winning via Arm Triangle at LFLMMA, and then continued his MMA career in late 2024, with two heel hook victories under the WeLoveMMA banner. With the viral nature of his looks and his unquestionable talent, it was a no-brainer for OktagonMMA to sign the “Neanderthal” to their Light-Heavyweight roster.
Before signing with OktagonMMA, Vosgröne was scheduled to fight UK MMA Veteran Tom Breese at LFL17, which certainly would have provided Vosgröne with a good test, however, Vosgröne will receive the biggest test of his career against Jorick Montagnac in front of 15,000 people in attendance at the Westfallenhalle in Dortmund, Germany, on April 6th.
