The announcement, dropped Friday afternoon via UFC’s social channels and the promotion’s website, marks a pivotal moment for the 205-pound division amid swirling rumors of champion Alex Pereira’s potential exit.
Prochazka, the former titleholder known for his pressure and samurai-like intensity, steps back into the Octagon. The Czech star, who previously held the belt before surrendering it due to injury in 2024. “This is my path back to glory,” Prochazka posted on Instagram shortly after the news broke, fueling fan anticipation for his signature chaos. He is most recently coming off of KO wins against Khalil Rountree Jr. and Jamahal Hill.
