The UFC 205 weigh ins earlier today (Friday November 11, 2016) were expected to be a huge affair, but nobody expected what happened when it was all said and done.

After tomorrow night’s main event between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez weighed in and returned backstage, it seemed as though the night had come to an end for fight fans until tomorrow night’s history making card. Not quite.

Joe Rogan would then present a video package promoting the upcoming return of former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey‘s return fight against the now-champion Amanda Nunes. After the video’s conclusion, to many’s surprise, Rogan then introduced ‘The Rowdy One’ who hit the stage to face off against her December foe:

Rousey hasn’t seen Octagon action since suffering her first career mixed martial arts (MMA) loss to Holly Holm during their main event clash at UFC 193 in Melbourne last year, in which a vicious head-kick from Holm not only took away Rousey’s undefeated record, but her title as well. A title that would to on to change hands two more times before resting on the waist of heavy-handed Brazilian Amanda Nunes.

Nunes won the title from Miesha Tate in their main event collision at UFC 200 in July, capturing the first title of her UFC career. Now Rousey is ready to attempt to resume her dominance over the sport that she once held before losing to Holm, and once again being recognized as the baddest woman on the planet.
