Tom Pagliarulo TKO’s Ananias Mulumba on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10, Week 1
The second bout of Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10, Week 1 card featured a featherweight bout between Ananias Mulumba and Tom Pagliarulo.
Round 1 was an action-heavy round with both men having their moments right from the opening bell by dropping each other right away. Tom Pagliarulo managed to score a couple of takedowns later in the round but failed to capitalize on them. Meanwhile, his opponent looked faster, more accurate, and more dangerous on the feet.
Round 2 was another close round with both fighters stunning each other multiple times. However, Mulumba slowed down quite a bit in the second round but did enough to stay away from danger.
Round 3 started with Pagliarulo scoring an explosive takedown and cutting Mulumba open with slicing elbows from half-guard position.
Mulumba absorbed a ton of punishment while trying to work his way back to his feet, yet failed. Meanwhile, Pagliarulo racked up nearly 4 minutes of ground control time, and in the final minute of the bout, he took his opponent’s back and went all out, raining down strikes until the referee stepped in to stop the contest.
