Usman Nurmagomedov Takes Aim at Arman Tsarukyan’s Losses, Says He’d Beat ‘Ahalkalakets’ and Ilia Topuria Like Alfie Davis
Usman Nurmagomedov believes he would make it look easy against Ilia Topuria and Arman Tsarukyan.
The current PFL lightweight world champion defended his strap this past weekend in the PFL Dubai main event at Coca-Cola Arena against 2025 PFL Lightweight Tournament winner Alfie Davis and won by round three submission.
Usman Nurmagomedov has one fight remaining on his PFL contract and is expected to sign with the UFC soon. He is already considered one of the best lightweights in the world.
Usman Nurmagomedov is confident he is better than Arman Tsarukyan and Ilia Topuria
After choking out Alfie Davis, the Russian phenom was asked at the post-fight press conference to weigh in on how he believes he would fare against UFC 155-pound champion Ilia Topuria and No. 2 contender Arman Tsarukyan.
The 27-year-old opined that he is better than ‘El Matador’ and Tsarukyan and said he would hand them the same fate as Davis.
“The preparation for them would be completely different. They’re fighters of a different level in terms of skill. For example, Arman both wrestles and strikes, so the preparation would have been entirely different, but the result would have been the same.”
When asked if he’s a better wrestler than ‘Ahalkalakets,‘ the 27-year-old quipped:
“Unlike Arman, I don’t have a loss.”
