UFC Fight Night 104 Preliminary Card Results: Curtis Blaydes Dominates

Chris Gruetzemacher vs. Chas Skelly

It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Saturday, February 4, 2017) will come in the form of UFC Fight Night 104 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Headlining the card are Chan Sung Jung and Dennis Bermudez, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the FOX Sports 1 and Fight Pass preliminary cards.

Adam Milstead vs. Curtis Blaydes in a heavyweight bout closed the prelim card on FOX Sports 1. The hulking Blaydes opened the fight in style by lifting him high in the air with massive slams early. He opened up with ground strikes that appeared to hit Milstead in the back of the head. Video showed Milstead apparently hurting his knee badly in the first, but he was somehow allowed to come out for the second, where the fight was soon called off due to the ailment.

Chas Skelly vs. Chris Gruetzemacher was next in a featherweight bout, with the gritty Skelly using his grueling style on ‘Gritz’ to take his back and submit him with a brutal rear-naked choke in the second round.

Ricardo Ramos vs. Michinori Tanaka was next in a bantamweight bout, with Ramos securing a unanimous decision victory after dropping Tanaka with a big shot in the first.

Tecia Torres vs. Bec Rawlings in a women’s strawweight bout opened the FOX Sports 1 prelim card. After “Rowdy” missed weight for the fight, Torres handily defeated her by unanimous decision, earning all three rounds on each judge’s scorecards to return to the win column.
