Ben Askren was one of the original MMA stars who have made moves in crypto currency. The former ONE champion has been on various podcasts from the JRE to Bitcoin Magazine talking about crypto.

Askren got into crypto around 2017 after a friend from Australia was telling him about the currency. Being economically libertarian, Askren was quickly sold on the idea and put big investments into bitcoin and other crypto coins.

One of the main reasons that Ben Askren invested his funds in crypto was his distrust of the Federal Reserve. He has stated many times that he believes bitcoin is the future and that he’s going to hold on for life.

It’s going to be interesting to see if Renato will keep requesting payments in BTC and other crypto in the future. Maybe he’ll even get sponsorship deals from some of the top bitcoin casinos.
