Salamat Isbulaev Lights Up Jesus Pinedo and Forces First-Round Tap Out – PFL Dubai Highlights
Salamat Isbulaev made a statement in his Smart Cage debut at PFL Dubai, forcing Jesus Pinedo to tap out due to strikes in the very first round.
After a relatively uneventful first four minutes, Isbulaev turned up the heat in the final 60 seconds of the opening round. Securing a takedown with the clock ticking down, the undefeated Russian debutant secured a double-leg takedown and immediately went to work, dropping bombs on the top-five-ranked contender.
Pinedo appeared to be having trouble with his left eye as Isbulaev dropped a series of brutal elbows from the top. That prompted Pinedo to tap out due to the unrelenting strikes with just three seconds left in the stanza.
