Jan Blachowicz Shows Off Stitched-Up Face As He Appears To Be In Good Spirits Post-UFC Belgrade Loss
Jan Blachowicz appeared to be in good spirits as he broke his silence following his loss against Navajo Stirling at UFC Belgrade.
Despite being the underdog coming into the fight, the 43-year-old made a strong start to the fight. Over a minute into the first round, Blachowicz clipped Stirling with a left hand jab that almost dropped him.
However, the New Zealander picked himself up, and over a minute later, he stung and dropped the Pole with a hard right, before unleashing a flurry of punches and elbows to earn a first-round TKO win.
The unloading of innumerable strikes from Stirling also opened up a deep cut in Blachowicz’s face, as he was left bloodied after the loss.
More recently, Blachowicz took to Instagram to share an update of his stitched-up face, with the caption:

The loss left the Pole winless in over 4 years, with his last victory coming against Aleksandar Rakic, way back in May 2022. Since then, Blachowicz has had 3 losses and 2 draws.
Stirling, meanwhile, remains unbeaten in his professional MMA career, now 11-0 (5-0 in the UFC).
Former Rival Offers Jan Blachowicz Words of Support Following UFC Belgrade Loss
A former rival of Jan Blachowicz dropped a comment under his Instagram post, offering words of support to the 43-year-old. It was Glover Teixeira.
The Brazilian wrote:
You are great warrior, keep your head up champ.

It is worth noting that Blachowicz lost his UFC light heavyweight title to Teixeira back in October 2021. After having beaten Dominick Reyes to lay his hands on the belt, the Pole defended his title once (against Israel Adesanya) to set up a bout against the Brazilian.
In only the second round of the fight, Teixeira submitted Blachowicz (via rear-naked choke), to earn the victory.
