Daniel Cormier Backs Jon Jones Over UFC White House Card Snub: “He seemed crushed”

Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier

Former UFC double champion Daniel Cormier feels bad for his arch-rival Jon Jones after the promotion did not put him on the White House card.

Jones recently asked the UFC to release him if they feel he has nothing more to offer, and also alleged that Dana White’s claim that “Bones” was never involved in negotiations to fight on June 14 is false.

The former UFC two-division titleholder via X informed fans that he was getting ready to fight at the White House and even received stem cell treatment for his arthritis, so that he could start training for the event. But in the end, a lowball offer kept him off the card.

Jon Jones went live on Instagram, clearly frustrated and saying he was “so pissed off.”

Despite their strained relationship that may never be repaired, “DC” has sided with Jones this time. About the Jones X UFC White House situation, he said:

“I kind of felt bad for Jon because it seemed like he wanted to fight on that card bad. He seemed crushed. He’s laying in bed, and he’s crushed. I think this is kind of like a come-to-Jesus moment.”
