Two Fights Added to UFC Vegas 120. Card Up to 11 Bouts
The UFC has added two more bouts to UFC Vegas 120, scheduled for August 8, headlined by Mateusz Gamrot vs. Quillan Salkilld. At bantamweight, veteran Miles Johns will welcome promotional newcomer Jessie Rosas, while lightweight prospect Manoel Sousa returns for his second Octagon appearance against fellow debutant Richie Miranda.
Looking at UFC Vegas 120:
UFC Vegas 120 was in desperate need of additional fights. As recently as Wednesday—just ten days before fight night—the event featured only nine confirmed bouts. The previous five Fight Nights (including this weekend’s event in Serbia) were either numbered pay-per-views or took place outside of the UFC META APEX, and the next eight events following UFC Vegas 120 are also scheduled for arenas around the world. As a result, there was understandably less demand from fighters to compete on a card held in front of the APEX’s limited-capacity crowd.
Miles Johns Returns
Few active UFC fighters have become as synonymous with the APEX as Miles Johns. Since the UFC began hosting events there during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, eight of Johns’ last ten UFC appearances have taken place inside the venue. He has compiled a respectable 4-3 record with one no contest in the building, and he also earned his UFC contract there in 2019 by defeating Richie Santiago on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Since joining the promotion, Johns has posted a 7-5 record with one no contest. However, he enters UFC Vegas 120 riding a three-fight losing streak, having dropped consecutive bouts to Felipe Lima, Jean Matsumoto, and most recently Daniel Marcos. With another loss potentially putting his roster spot in jeopardy, Johns could be fighting for his UFC future against Rosas. His most memorable UFC performance came in 2021, when he overwhelmed Anderson Dos Santos before scoring a devastating third-round knockout.
Jessie Rosas Makes His UFC Debut
Jessie Rosas will make his long-awaited UFC debut on August 8. While many fans know him as the older brother of rising bantamweight contender Raul Rosas Jr., Jessie has steadily built his own résumé and earned an opportunity on the sport’s biggest stage. The Mexican prospect owns an 8-1 professional record and enters the UFC on a three-fight winning streak. Most recently, he defeated 43-fight veteran Erick Ruano at Ultimate Warrior Challenge 58 in his home country of Mexico.
Manoel Sousa Looks to add another win
Manoel Sousa will look to improve to 2-0 inside the Octagon when he faces Richie Miranda. Sousa also earned his UFC contract at the APEX last season on Dana White’s Contender Series by knocking out Cristian Perez before carrying that momentum into his promotional debut, where he stopped Bolaji Oki by knockout. The Brazilian owns an impressive 14-1 professional record, with his lone defeat coming against Archie Colgan, who challenges for the PFL lightweight championship this weekend. Sousa has also competed under the PFL and Bellator banners, giving him valuable big-stage experience despite only having one UFC fight.
Richie miranda on the rise
A longtime standout in LFA, Richie Miranda will finally make his UFC debut at UFC Vegas 120. Miranda captured the LFA lightweight championship by defeating Richie Lewis in 2025 and has since defended the title twice, beating Ilay Barzilay and Robert Varricchio over the past year. A well-rounded finisher, Miranda owns a 58 percent finish rate, with five victories by knockout and three by submission.
UFC Vegas 120 Bout order
UFC Vegas 120 is still shaping up to be one of the weaker Fight Night lineups of the year, which is understandable considering it is sandwiched between 13 consecutive numbered or road events. Even so, the card now features 11 confirmed bouts, giving fans a much more complete lineup heading into fight week.
