Conor McGregor And Tyron Woodley Go Off On Each Other On Twitter

Woodley and McGregor

Two massive title bouts will close out the historic UFC 205 pay-per-view (PPV) card tomorrow night (Saturday November 12, 2016), as UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor will attempt to win a second title when he takes on Eddie Alvarez for the 155-pound throne in the night’s main event; while Tyron Woodley will defend his title against perennial contender Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson in the co-featured bout of the evening.

Earlier today (Friday November 11, 2016) both Woodley and McGregor weighed in for their respective contests in New York City this morning, to where the two champions engaged in a rather interesting stare-down with one another:

Shortly after this Woodley took to Twitter to comment on the altercation, to which ‘The Chosen One’ stated he wasn’t phased on bit by the Irishman’s presence. This would erupt into a brief exchange between the two champs, in which McGregor would repeatedly call Woodley a ‘bitch’:

McGregor is no stranger to the 170-pound division, as he embarked on a two-fight feud with Nate Diaz in the UFC’s welterweight division, where ‘Notorious’ currently holds a record of 1-1. In his initial meeting with Diaz in the main event of UFC 196 last March, McGregor was choked out in the second round via rear-naked choke after being rocked by the former Ultimate Fighter winner on the feet.

Five months later the pair would rematch in one of the biggest fights in UFC history, to which McGregor would see his hand raised in a majority decision after a 25-minute blood bath of a war.

McGregor has expressed interest in going after the UFC’s 170-pound title before, but for the time being that strap currently rests around the waist of Woodley who has looked rather frightening as of late. If McGregor and Woodley should find themselves throwing down with one another inside the Octagon in the near future, it should be an interesting contest to say the least.
