Bryce Mitchell Goes Against the Grain: How Farming Can Help You Defy Government Watchdogs
Bryce Mitchell thinks farming is the true path to freedom.
Over the last couple of years, ‘Thug Nasty’ has become one of mixed martial arts’ most polarizing figures with his often bat-sh*t insane takes on religion, government, and everything in between. And while most of his commentaries have left people at worst, confused, and at best, furious, the featherweight standout occasionally has a pearl of wisdom or two to share.

When he’s not competing inside the Octagon, Mitchell likes to spend his days farming in his native Arkansas. Just last year, he converted an old MMA cage into a chicken coop and occasionally likes to show off some of the injuries he sustains while on his farm. Like the time he got a three-inch splinter in his hand and foolishly attempted to take it out himself with a needle.
But Mitchell strongly believes that all the pain and hard work are truly worth it if it means living a life where the U.S. government isn’t watching and recording your every move.
“Farming is the path to freedom, and it always has been because if you can really create your own shelter, have your own water, have your own clothing, have your own food, you do not need a government to rule over you,” Mitchell said in an interview with The MMA Guru.
Bryce Mitchell Takes on ‘Lord’ at UFC 314
Coming off a big win over Kron Gracie in December, Mitchell returns to the Octagon on April 12 for a clash with surging knockout artist Jean Silva at UFC 314 in Miami.

Last month at the pre-fight press conference in Las Vegas, Mitchell was visibly frustrated after Silva relentlessly taunted ‘Thug Nasty’ over his ignorant comments about Adolf Hitler being a “good guy” and his belief in the flat-earth theory. Mitchell could barely get a word in before Silva would cut him off.
At one point, ‘Lord’ had the entire crowd chanting ‘F*ck Bryce Mitchell’ which clearly incensed the 17-2 fighter.

Shortly after, Mitchell admitted that Silva got into his head, revealing that he’d been having “demonic dreams” ever since their face-to-face encounter.
“Every single night since the day before the press conference, I’ve had demonic dreams,” Mitchell said on Instagram. “Legions of demons are attacking me every single time I sleep and not one time have I seen any peaceful sleep since that day.”
