Amiran Gogoladze vs. Felix Klinkhammer Set for Vacant OKTAGON Welterweight Title Fight in Munich
OKTAGON MMA will crown a new welterweight champion on Halloween night when Amiran Gogoladze meets Felix Klinkhammer at OKTAGON 96. The 170-pound title fight is set for Saturday, October 31, at SAP Garden in Munich, Germany, with Gogoladze carrying an 18-3 record into the matchup against unbeaten Klinkhammer, 11-0.

The belt became vacant after Kaik Brito left the promotion to pursue another opportunity. Brito had been booked to defend against Gogoladze in September, but that bout was removed from the schedule once the Brazilian gave up the title and targeted a return to Dana White’s Contender Series. The change put two of the division’s most dangerous finishers on a collision course instead.
Gogoladze enters the bout as one of OKTAGON‘s established welterweight contenders. The Georgian fighter has won four straight under the promotion’s banner, a run that includes a decision over former UFC fighter Leandro “Apollo” Silva. His latest outing made a strong case for a title opportunity, as he knocked out former champion Ion Surdu in the opening round at OKTAGON 86 in Szczecin, Poland, on April 11. Gogoladze landed a right hook that ended the contest at the 2:34 mark, moving his professional record to 18-3.
That finish was a major moment for “The Sniper.” Surdu had previously held the welterweight belt and arrived with a reputation as one of the division’s more dangerous strikers. Gogoladze will now seek to turn that breakthrough into his first OKTAGON championship, but Munich presents a completely different assignment.
Klinkhammer is unbeaten in 11 professional appearances and brings a submission-heavy game into the title fight. The London Shootfighters representative previously won the ARES welterweight championship and introduced himself to the OKTAGON audience by submitting former title challenger Máté Kertész in the first round. His record includes finishes by heel hook, kneebar, rear-naked choke and arm-triangle choke, which gives Gogoladze little room to relax in clinches or scrambles.
Earlier in his career, Klinkhammer picked up submission wins over Karim Rabei and Wissame Akhmouch, then defeated Jeferson Minotauro by unanimous decision over five rounds at ARES FC 24. That championship-distance experience may be useful if the fight becomes a longer tactical battle rather than a quick exchange.
The matchup offers a straightforward title-fight contrast as Gogoladze has momentum after putting away a former champion, while Klinkhammer has built an undefeated record through positional control and submissions. Munich will host OKTAGON for its fifth event, and SAP Garden provides the setting for a new name to take over at welterweight on October 31.
