Benoit Saint Denis Hit List: BMF, Arman, Topuria, Holloway, and Gaethje
UFC lightweight contender Benoit Saint Denis has spoken about what he wants next in the division.
This past weekend, Benoit Saint Denis earned one of the biggest wins of his career when he defeated Dan Hooker at UFC 325. The victory serves as his fourth straight finish in the UFC, and given the way in which he’s been able to get through these fights, it feels pretty certain that he’s going to have a big test coming in his next outing.
In many ways, Benoit Saint Denis is one of the leading examples of the ‘future’ of the lightweight division. Ilia Topuria is obviously the reigning world champion, but BSD is still just 30 years of age and seems to be getting better and better.
In his post-fight press conference appearance, Benoit Saint Denis had the following to say about who he wants next.
Benoit Saint Denis looks to the future
“I’m fully focused on anybody inside the top five, but the undisputed belt and the BMF belt are my first interests. My first point of interest is to fight the winner of Islam or Holloway, or the winner of Justin versus Ilia. But if it has to happen, I will fight Arman, of course, and I will take his spot.”
Saint Denis is a pretty popular guy both within his own fanbase and amongst other fighters, with the likes of Paddy Pimblett and even his recent foe Dan Hooker coming out and saying how much they like him. If he can continue to build momentum, there’s absolutely no reason why he can’t challenge for the world title, and it may come a lot sooner than people think.
Will a BMF title fight be in his immediate future? If so, that would be one hell of a scrap regardless of who wins the UFC 326 main event.
