Bellator 120 Live Chat & Discussion Starting At 8 P.M. EST

Bellator will make their first entry into the pay-per-view (PPV) market when Bellator 120 goes down tonight (May 17, 2014) from the Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi.

The event’s headliner features a trash-talk fueled light heavyweight tournament final between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal. “Rampage” has won two straight bouts via knockout since signing with Bellator following a three-fight slide to end his tumultuous UFC tenure.

The card was originally slated to feature the awaited trilogy-ending rematch between lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez and former champion Michael Chandler, but Chandler will now fight Will Brooks for the interim strap in the co-main event after Alvarez was forced out with a concussion.

Another former UFC light heavyweight champion will make his Bellator debut when Tito Ortiz challenges talented middleweight champion Alexander “Storm” Shlemenko at light heavyweight.

Rounding out the main card’s action, Alexander Volkov will take on undefeated challenger Blagoi Ivanov in the heavyweight tournament finals, while surging prospect Michael Page faces Ricky Rainey at welterweight.

Former UFC heavyweight Cheick Kongo will also fight on the prelims, which air at 8 p.m. EST on Spike TV.

Despite Bellator’s tribulations in delving into the PPV market, there’s definitely potential for an action-packed night of fights from Mississippi.

Tune in to LowKickMMA.com at 8 p.m. EST for a live chat and discussion of Bellator 120 and tell us what you think of the promotion’s first PPV event!
