Alex Pereira Reacts to Jon Jones Revealing Severe Arthritis Ahead of UFC White House
Alex Pereira has reacted to the news that Jon Jones is suffering from arthritis. Earlier this month, fans learnt that Jones’ left hip is covered in arthritis and the latter already qualifies for a hip replacement, news that the “Bones” says was never meant to go viral.
However, Jon Jones is still keen on fighting at the White House and has stated that the UFC brass are aware of his condition, and it won’t stop him from entering the octagon.
Alex Pereira, who wants to move up to heavyweight in an attempt become the first-ever three-division UFC champion, has called out “Bones” on several occasions, and the latter has also responded, showing interest in locking horns with “Poatan.” However, Dana White, due to Jones’ unreliability, has yet to second the idea.
In a recent interview, the Brazilian gave his thoughts on Jones’ condition:
“Every athlete has chronic injuries, serious injuries. And I think that if any high-level athlete, given their history, were to say something like that, it wouldn’t be news to me.” [via YT / Valter Walker UFC]
When asked during the same sit-down if “Poatan” would look forward to facing any other opponent if Jones is not going to fight him on June 14, he said:
“I want them to put themselves in front of me. I’m going to fight. It doesn’t matter what weight class.”

The White House card matchmaking has wrapped up, and fans will soon find out if “Poatan” will be on it, and if yes, then will he compete as the light heavyweight champion or vacate and move up to heavyweight in an attempt to capture a third belt?
Alex Pereira’s last fight was at UFC 320, where he TKO’d Magomed Ankalaev in just 80 seconds to reclaim the light heavyweight title.
