Khabib Nurmagomedov & Rafael Dos Anjos Heat Up The Trash Talk

Rising UFC lightweights Khabib Nurmagomedov and Rafael dos Anjos have been slated to square off at UFC on Fox 11 this April 19, and it seems like the trash talking is going up a notch. The ill will between the two apparently started back when ‘The Eagle’ was set to face Thiago Tavares at UFC on FX 7.

Nurmagomedov showed up to the weigh ins (pictured above) with a t-shirt claiming Jiu Jitsu was easy. Dos Anjos was none too happy with the gesture and spoke via Esportes.br, saying:

“I will come very well prepared and be sure to bring this victory. I’ll make this Khabib stop this talking that nobody wants to fight him, he is a guy who has been talking a lot. I’m going to shut up him so he learns not to speak ill of jiu-jitsu. I will make him throw that shirt in the trash.”

Nurmagomedov was struggling to find an opponent in the wake of his decision win over Pat Healy at UFC 165, having already racked up wins over Abel Trujillo, Gleison Tibau, Kamal Shalarous and Tavares under the UFC banner. RDA doesn’t seem too phased at the prospect of fighting the undefeated sambo master, and it’s safe to say that the feeling is mutual. Check out what ‘The Eagle’ had to say via his instagram account:

That may well be the funniest instagram image I’ve ever seen, as well as a clear insult against Khabib’s Brazilian foe. It’s safe to say that these two are not too keen on each other, and hopefully that translates on fight night. I’m not sure what the outcome of that fight will be, but Khabib is definitely winning the battle of the trash talkers right now.
