Cain Velasquez: Fedor Emelianenko is the greatest fighter of all time

UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez recently stated that he considers Russian Heavyweight Fedor ”The Last Emperor” Emelianenko as the greatest fighter in the history of Mixed Martial Arts. Cain even said that some where down the line he would love to square off against the Russian MMA Legend, and would also be willing to face him outside of the UFC’s Octagon

Speaking at a recent Q and A session, Velasquez was asked who he thought was the greatest fighter of all time, and had this to say:

”For me, I think Fedor. I’ve always watched him as a fighter. I’ve always looked up to him. His overall size compared to the other guys, it seems he’s always mismatched, but he has a lot of power, he has good technique on the ground, so I would definitely love to fight him. I’m in this sport to fight the best. I want to fight the best guys in the UFC and the best guys everywhere else.”

Velasquez also went onto talk about the first challenger for his Heavyweight title, Junior Dos Santos, Cain said:

”He’s got excellent stand-up, great boxing. The guy’s got power, good takedown defense also. He throws a lot of threats. I definitely want to stand up with him, use punches and kicks. If takedown’s are there, take it, but if it’s not, force it.”

Velasquez has opened up on very touchy subject within the UFC, which is Fedor, and also said he would be willing to fight the best guys outside of the UFC, which could cause concern for the UFC. What do you think Lowkick’ers, do you see Cain leaving the UFC in pursuit of a dream matchup with the Russian Legend?
