UFC On FOX 12 Medical Suspensions: Matt Brown Among Four Out For Up To Six Months
This weekends medical suspensions from UFC on Fox 12 have been revealed by the California State Athletic Commission.
The suspensions were released last night by the athletic commission for Saturday’s UFC event which took place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. Out of the 24 fighters who competed, ten have received medical suspensions which include four facing long lay offs.
After going five rounds with “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler in the nights main event, Matt Brown could be out on the sidelines for up to six months with a suspected broken nose. He will need to be cleared by a physician before he can return.
On top of Brown, three other fighters received long term suspensions from the CSAC yesterday. The first was Tim Means who received a 180 day suspension for a fracture to his finger which he suffered in his bout with Hernani Perpetuo. Perpetuo was the only fighter to receive an indefinite suspension with a suspected broken wrist and foot.
The other two fighters who are potentially out for six months are Gilbert Burns and Andreas Stahl.
In the co-main event Antônio Rogerio Nogueira suffered the most devastating loss of his fourteen year career, getting knocked out by Anthony “Rumble” Johnson in just forty-four seconds. “Little Nog” will be out for two months with a cut on his right eye unless he is cleared by a physician.
