UFC 168 Pre-Fight Press Conference Staredowns

UFC 168 is nearly upon us, and with it comes the traditional pre-fight press conference complete with fighter staredowns. Check out the staredowns courtesy of MMA Fight Corner below and see if they sway your views on who is going to win the three main bouts at Saturday night’s epic card.

Josh Barnett and Travis Browne were intense and unwavering prior to their pivotal heavyweight matchup.

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was fired up as usual for her rematch with archrival Miesha Tate. The two will go to war as the culmination of TUF 18, and Tate has her hands full with an extremely angry “Rowdy.”

As for the highly anticipated main event rematch between UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman and legend Anderson Silva, the staredown depicted almost a direct role reversal as compared to their previous bout at UFC 162. At that pre-fight press conference Silva was laughing and jovial as he let then-challenger Weidman hold onto the coveted title belt.

This time around, however, Weidman offered the belt to Silva, which “The Spider” quickly refused. Silva looked to be all about business this time around, a far cry from his demeanor last July. Perhaps his focus on being champion has returned, something that could spell an early end to Weidman’s young title reign.

Silva has stated that his mental preparedness for that fight was off, and that he’s significantly changed his team in preparation for his rematch with Weidman. He looked extremely intense at today’s staredowns. Is “The Spider” truly back?
