Twitter Beef Of The Day: Nate Diaz Not Interested In Fighting Myles Jury

The Diaz brothers are quite the anomaly in MMA; having risen the through the ranks in Japanese MMA, and The Ultimate Fighter, both bros came to be quite the attraction in the UFC. Their blend of never-back-down tactics, and aggressive trash talking have put them amongst the most notorious faces in all of combat sports.

Ironically, the two have not fought in a long time. Nate last made an appearance in the UFC by knocking out Gray Maynard in the first round back in November 2013, and older bro Nick was last in action getting decisioned by the then welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre. Both men have been linked to big fights, but none have come to fruition. Openly admitting that they are holding out for better pay, the world of MMA is moving on in their absence.

Nate Diaz actually turned down a fight with rising lightweight Myles Jury recently, as their conversation on Twitter shows:

Seemingly happy to sit out and wait for a better contract to roll in, is Nate skating on thin ice? Obviously he could be a legit PPV draw on a main card, but 1-2 in his last three and so much time off can’t be helping his argument. Do you agree with the fact that Diaz is turning down potentially interesting fights in favor of his bank account, or does he voice the opinion of a generation of underpaid gladiators?
