Twitter Reacts To Conor McGregor vs. Chad Mendes At UFC 189
Well, it finally happened. The almost inevitable withdrawal of UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo from his July 11th date with Conor McGregor was made official last night, with Chad Mendes stepping in for the interim featherweight title bout. Somewhere, Frankie Edgar is biting his fist. The title fight was very questionable from the moment it was announced that Aldo had injured his rib, with money obviously not enough of an incentive to put his belt as such risk, ‘Scarface’ relents to the shadows as his two-time foe ‘Money’ swoops in on another payday.
The Team Alpha Male product has some words to live up to though, as he has done his fair share of trash talking in recent days. It’s still quite a cool fight, and we’ll finally get to see if McGregor will indeed be resting his balls on Mendes’ forehead.
