Pouya Rahmani Dominates — Submits Karl Williams to Keep Perfect Record – PFL Dubai Highlights
Undefeated heavyweight standout Pouya Rahmani kept his ‘O’ intact at PFL Dubai, scoring an impressive submission victory over Karl Williams in the evening’s main card opener.
It didn’t take long for Rahmani to get his opponent to the mat, but a couple of blows to the back of Williams’ head prompted the referee to stand up both fighters and issue a warning to Rahmani.
Once the fight was restarted, Rahmani wasted no time shooting in for a takedown, pressing Williams’ back against the fence. Williams used the cage wall to stay upright, forcing Rahmani to back off and reset. As the final seconds ticked off the opening round, Rahmani offered up a big right hand partially blocked by Williams.
Williams attempted to flip the script in round two, shooting for an early takedown of his own. Rahmani successfully sprawled, landing some nasty shots in the process that forced Williams to retreat. As Williams fled to the fence, Rahmani secured a body lock and muscled his opponent down, immediately landing in side control.
Securing the crucifix position, Rahmani peppered Williams with a handful of shots before cinching in an arm triangle and securing the second-round tap out.
