Michael Page Says The Best Version of Him Will Compete on March 21 at UFC London
Michael Page, also known as MVP, is ready to showcase the best version of himself when he squares off with Sam Patterson at UFC London.
With a 3-1 record in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and his only loss being a close one against Ian Machado Garry, it’s no surprise that Michael Page is hungry to stay active and keep proving himself at the elite level. With his wins coming over Kevin Holland, Sharabutdin Magomedov and Jared Cannonier, it’s not like the 38-year-old is beating nobodies.
Michael Page is more than likely in the twilight period of his mixed martial arts career, but even with that being the case, it still feels like he could make some real noise in a couple of different divisions, Unfortunately, the UFC hasn’t seemed to be all too interested in booking him in big fights, as we can see by him being drawn against Sam Patterson at UFC London.
Alas, despite that, Michael Page is still planning on going out there and showing the world just how good he is in the English capital.
Michael Page on his upcoming fight
“Again, he’s got a dangerous submission game. He’s quite awkward as well. He’s got a few tricky submissions I need to be super careful of. But the problem is: can he get me to the floor? He’s going to have to be able to strike to even get to me. Can he be good enough on that day to get to me, to get a takedown, to then go for the submission without me putting up those gates and walls to prevent him from doing so, as well as the danger of him walking into something horrible?
“I respect him a lot, which is why I’m going to be the best MVP anybody’s ever seen on that day. In my eyes, I’m fighting a world champion.”
