Lerone Murphy will look for the finish against Movsar Evloev at UFC London
UFC featherweight star Lerone Murphy has spoken candidly about his game plan heading into his meeting with Movsar Evloev.
In the main event of UFC London, Lerone Murphy and Movsar Evloev face the biggest fight of their respective careers. The winner is near-enough guaranteed to earn a shot at Alexander Volkanovski and the UFC featherweight championship, with ‘The Great’ himself even recognizing that these two men are both worthy of a crack at the gold.
While many will believe that Lerone Murphy should have already had a title shot instead of Diego Lopes receiving one at UFC 325, Murphy has always wanted to headline a card in the UK – and next month, he’ll have his chance, and he will do it against an incredibly tough opponent in Movsar Evloev.
In a recent interview, Lerone Murphy spoke about what he plans to do to Evloev when that cage door shuts on March 21st.
Lerone Murphy lays out plan for Movsar Evloev fight
“I want to bring the belt back to the UK, obviously, so expect to see the best version of Lerone Murphy. Last time out I got a stunning knockout, and that’s propelled me to want more. I’m going to go in there and I’m going to fight my heart out and look for the finish.”
“High level respect, obviously, he’s gone against everyone. He’s undefeated, like myself. One of the best in the world. I believe I’m the best in the world, so the best thing about fighting is you get to find out, innit. On the night, we’re gonna find out, March 21st, let’s bang.”
Murphy has been working hard for many, many years now to try and really break through and reach that next level in his career, and if he was ever going to do it, back home in the UK would be a great spot.
