UFC women’s bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison has expressed her delight as she prepares to go head to head with Amanda Nunes in the co-main event of UFC 324.
After months of waiting, we finally have an official announcement regarding Kayla Harrison vs Amanda Nunes. It’s been a long time coming as the greatest female fighter of all time returns to the cage in order to once again try and climb to the top of the mountain. Alas, if she’s going to get there, she will need to get through a pretty formidable opponent.
Kayla Harrison has long since been viewed as one of the best female athletes of her generation, and between Olympic success and her many triumphs mixed martial arts, it’s hard to argue against that. With that being said, Kayla herself made it clear that in order to feel like she was truly the best ever, she needed to go up against Amanda Nunes. Now, it’s finally happening, as announced by Dana White yesterday.
Ahead of fight night, Harrison revealed how she’s feeling about the whole thing in a recent interview.

“I’m excited. I feel great. I think at first I was kind of like, ‘Is it going to happen? Is it for real?’ But I’m very excited and just really grateful. I’m grateful for her willingness to come back and put her legacy on the line. And yeah, dude, all my dreams are coming true. It’s kind of wild to be in this era of my life, but it’s pretty great.”
