Kamaru Usman Plans To Enjoy Brutalizing Colby Covington

Kamaru Usman plans to enjoy the beating that he will give to former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington once they fight. UFC President Dana White has already gone on record by stating that this is the next fight to make.

For Usman, he will look forward to sharing the Octagon with Covington when he makes his first title defense as UFC welterweight champion.

”I want to f**k that guy up so bad,” Usman said at the UFC 235 post-fight presser (H/T to MMAMania). “I can’t be in a room with that guy. I can’t. I can’t. I just can’t. And I can’t wait to be healed up and really put my hands on him. That’s one I’m going to enjoy, brutalizing him.”

Usman captured the welterweight title once he scored a dominant unanimous win over Tyron Woodley in the co-main event of the UFC 235 pay-per-view. This show went down on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

For Covington, he says he already knows how this fight is going to play out, which is him scoring a first-round knockout to win the title.

”I’ve been living rent-free in Snoozeman’s head for over two, three years now,” he told TSN. “So you’re gonna see with Usman, I’m going to knock him out in the first round. I’m going to exploit him and it’s going to be night night.”
