Jorge Masvidal welcomes Colby Covington rematch in UFC return, accusses him of 'Snorting away' talent

Former two-time welterweight championship challenger, Jorge Masvidal has welcomed the chance to take on Colby Covington in a future rematch upon his expected return to the UFC — accusing the former interim gold holder of drug use to boot.

Masvidal, a former two-time title challenger at 170lbs, managed to scoop the inaugural symbolic BMF championship back in 2019.

And departing the Octagon back in 2023, Miami veteran, Masvidal suffered his fourth consecutive loss in the form of a one-sided unanimous decision to fellow stalwart contender, Gilbert Burns in his native Florida.

Making a brief boxing outing last summer, Masvidal rekindled his rivalry with fellow Octagon veteran, Nate Diaz, dropping a controversial split decision loss to the Stockton native in a professional bout; a rematch of their BMF championship pairing back in 2019.

However, gearing up for a return to the UFC later this year — Masvidal has switched management to Ali Abdelaziz and Dominance MMA in a bid to book a comeback to the Octagon.

And as far as potential foes, the veteran has called for a grudge fight with Leon Edwards. And today, welcomed a potential re-run with former friend and training partner, Covington.
