Jon Jones claims UFC Brass capped him at $15M for Alex Pereira clash
Jon Jones has said that the UFC was not willing to pay him a dime more than $15M to fight Alex Pereira at the White House.
After being denied a spot on the UFC Freedom 250 bout list, Jones had claimed that he was lowballed and therefore decided not to be part of the White House card. He also asked the promotion to release him if they think he is done.
Although the last time the American fighter didn’t give exact details about the lowball offer that he declined, earlier today on X, he revealed that he was going to fight “Poatan” on June 14, but the promotion wasn’t willing to pay him anything more than $15 million.
“[I] was ready, willing, and physically able to step in. I was willing to take substantially less than the Aspinall ask, but they wouldn’t budge one dollar over $15m. I felt like our fight was worth more.”

Previously, in 2025, when Jones was the undisputed heavyweight champ, he was reportedly offered $30 million to fight the then-interim champ, Tom Aspinall. However, “Bones” declined the offer and chose to vacate and retire, after which he hasn’t been in the good books of UFC CEO Dana White.
White has said that Jones is retired due to severe hip arthritis and was never going to fight at the White House. However, “Bones” and Joe Rogan have now revealed that the former got stem cell treatment for his hip and was getting ready to start training, but was lowballed in the end.
Tom Aspinall says Jon Jones was never scared of him
Jon Jones never wanted to fight Tom Aspinall, stalled the latter’s s career, and even turned down $30 million to fight the Brit, as mentioned before.
However, Aspinall still believes Jones was never scared of him and just wanted the ‘right financial amount’ to fight him. During a recent interview with Grace Neutral, he said:
“I don’t think he’s [Jon Jones] scared of anybody. I think he wanted the right financial [amount]. But he did get offered $30 million. That’s a lot of money.”
