Jake Paul goes after Francis Ngannou for rejecting major Netflix showdown
Jake Paul has gone after Francis Ngannou for suggesting that even the idea of fighting him in a blockbuster boxing match was disrespectful.
As we know, Jake Paul is an incredible promoter – even if there aren’t many out there who consider him to be an elite boxer. He has been able to get himself into some great positions in his career, and Most Valuable Promotions has done a wonderful job of taking women’s boxing to a new level. With that being said, he may have bitten off more than he can chew in the form of a showdown with Anthony Joshua next month.
It’s the kind of fight that Jake Paul has always talked about trying to book, but going from Gervonta Davis to Anthony Joshua is quite the step up – and that much is an understatement. The risk factor is high with this one, and ‘The Problem Child’ must be aware of that as we get closer and closer to fight night.
In a recent media scrum, Jake Paul had the following to say about Francis Ngannou who recently dismissed the notion of taking on Paul in a boxing match.
Jake Paul goes after Francis Ngannou
“Yeah, I just thought – I mean, he’s just an idiot,” Paul told MMA Junkie during a media scrum. “I’m like, ‘Yo, what are you doing?’ If you’re so confident, if you feel so disrespected, you’re having all this bad publicity about your name over the past year, year and half, this is your opportunity to correct that and stop me.”
He’s basically also talking sh*t to Mike Tyson for fighting me,” Paul said. “Francis, you’re nowhere near the legend, and you never will be even close to the legend of Mike Tyson, and you’re saying it’s disrespectful to get in the ring.”
