Topuria has always carried himself with a wealth of confidence and an aura of unquestionable self belief. This has not waned in the build up for the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House. The Spaniards ascension to the pinnacle of the sport has been breathtaking and many believe he is destined to achieve greatness with a spectacular victory in front of the White House.
Naturally one man with plenty of faith in the challenger, Justin Gaethje, is his father John Ray Gaethje. On the American’s YouTube channel he spoke confidently about his son’s chances in the fast approaching title bout.
“This is the biggest fight of his life, but I mean, we’ve said that three or four other times. He’s fighting another little short guy, and he’s done really well against [Michael] Chandler and [Rafael] Fiziev and a few of the others, and I just see the same thing happening for this fight. This is what we trained for. This is what he’s put his whole life into since he was 4 years old, and I’m excited and ready for it to happen.”
The double champion reposted the clip and quoted a chilling and ruthless response, which goes hand in hand with the promotional video including Topuria laying a rose at funeral for Gaethje as his next victim.
