Daniel Škvor meets Tomasz Narkun at OKTAGON 95 in Karlovy Vary
Daniel Škvor will face Tomasz Narkun in a light heavyweight bout at OKTAGON 95 on Saturday, October 17, at Mattoni Arena in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. The matchup puts the division’s leading Czech contender against a former KSW champion whose submission record can change a fight in seconds.
Škvor enters with an 11-4 MMA record and a four-fight winning streak, with every victory during that run ending inside two rounds. His recent stretch began with a 26-second guillotine submission of Antonio Zovak at OKTAGON 67 in February 2025. He then stopped Marc Doussis with a first-round punch in Karlovy Vary, finished Lucas Alsina by second-round TKO, and submitted Patrick Vespaziani with a guillotine in his heavyweight debut last December.

The 37-year-old Czech fighter was set to challenge Will Fleury for the OKTAGON light heavyweight title at OKTAGON 92 earlier this month, but withdrew through injury. That puts this fight in a key spot. Škvor is listed as the No. 1 contender in OKTAGON’s 93kg rankings, with champion Fleury holding the belt. A win over Narkun would keep “DeeDee” close to another title opportunity.
Škvor’s route is clear on paper: keep the contest standing, work behind the striking that carried him through a long kickboxing career, and avoid giving Narkun the grips and angles he wants. Before moving fully into MMA, Škvor held the WAKO Pro K-1 super heavyweight world title and competed under the Glory banner. His MMA record includes six knockouts and three submissions, so he has found finishes in more than one way.
Narkun arrives at 21-7 following his April decision loss to Alexander Poppeck in his OKTAGON debut in Szczecin, Poland. Poppeck kept the fight standing for three rounds, but Narkun’s history offers a warning for anyone who treats that result as a simple blueprint. The Polish veteran has won 15 of his 21 fights by submission, built around triangles, guillotines, armbars and rear-naked chokes.

“Giraffe” held the KSW light heavyweight title from 2015 until 2022 and recorded five successful defenses. He also beat Mamed Khalidov twice: first by third-round triangle choke in 2018 after being dropped twice in the opening round, then by unanimous decision in their rematch later that year. Narkun later challenged Phil De Fries for the KSW heavyweight championship twice, showing he has spent plenty of time in high-pressure fights.
The official rankings place Narkun at No. 5 at light heavyweight, making this more than a Czech Republic-versus-Poland booking. Škvor can reinforce his place at the front of the title queue, while Narkun can move quickly toward the belt after one fight in the promotion.
Karlovy Vary has already been a good stop for Škvor. He knocked out Doussis there in April 2025, and the home crowd will expect him to turn the arena into his office again. Narkun, though, has spent years making opponents regret getting too comfortable in open space.
