10-1 UFC Prospect Damian Pinas Announces He Has Fight News
UFC middleweight Damian Pinas took to X on Friday to let fans know that he has his next fight booked. It remains unclear who, where, or when he will be fighting.
The Hype Behind Damian Pinas Is Real
Damian Pinas is one of the most promising fighters on the entire UFC roster as of August 2026.
“The Baba Yaga” earned his spot on the UFC roster last summer after knocking out Vitor Costa in under two minutes during Season 9 of Dana White’s Contender Series.
In his debut year, Damian Pinas has continued to turn heads. At the end of February, he decimated Wes Schultz, knocking his opponent down three times in the first round before finally landing the kill shot midway through the round.
Pinas then got a chance to showcase himself on the undercard of UFC 329, which featured Conor McGregor. The young prospect put on another impressive performance that further built his hype and fan base. After weathering an early storm from former kickboxing champion Cesar Almeida, Damian Pinas landed a devastating right hand that sent his opponent to another realm.
Not only is Pinas one of the most highly touted prospects in the UFC, but he has also built up a large following, particularly in his native Aruba. Pinas is the first fighter to ever represent Aruba under the UFC banner. In fact, he is so popular in Aruba that Wendy’s even added a limited-edition “Baba Yaga Meal” to its menu on the island.
“The Baba Yaga” currently holds a professional record of 10-1, with his only loss coming via disqualification at Shooto Brazil 121 in Brazil. Like Jon Jones, Pinas’ only professional loss came in a fight where he was not actually defeated by his opponent.
After starting his UFC career 2-0, fans will have incredibly high expectations for Pinas whenever he returns to the Octagon. It is also worth mentioning that Pinas is only 24 years old, making it scary to think that he may not even be close to reaching his prime.

Hopefully, we get confirmation from Pinas soon. Regardless of who he faces next, it will be interesting to see how the highly touted prospect continues to develop.
