First Two Bouts Announced For UFC Fight Night 82

UFC officials have announced the first two bouts for the UFC Fight Night 82 card. Those bouts include Cody Garbrandt (7-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) vs. John Lineker (26-7 MMA, 7-2) at bantamweight and Sarah Moras (4-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) vs. Lauren Murphy (8-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) in women’s bantamweight bout.

Garbrandt is coming off of two impressive wins while in the UFC when he beat Marcus Brimage at UFC 182 by second round TKO and then Enrique Briones at UFC 189 by unanimous decision.

Lineker has won his last three bouts with wins over Alptekin Ozkilic at UFC Fight Night 45 by third round TKO, Ian McCall by unanimous decision at UFC 183, and Francisco Rivera at UFC 191 by first-round guillotine choke.

Moras is 1-1 while in the UFC, and both ended via a unanimous decision. She beat Alexis Dufresne at TUF 19 Finale but lost to Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night 71.

Murphy has lost her last two and were in the UFC. She lost to Sara McMann by split decision at UFC Fight Night 47 and Liz Carmouche at UFC Fight Night 63 by unanimous decision.

UFC Fight Night 82 takes place at Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center on February 21st, 2016 and the main card will air on FOX Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass. The main event of this event has not been announced.
