UFC Fight Night 40: Costas Philippou vs. Lorenz Larkin Fight Video Highlights
Lorenz Larkin and Costas Philippou served as co-main event competitors during last night’s crazy Fight Night 40. The Cincinnati, Ohio based event had a plethora of huge upsets and vicious finishes, and ‘Monsoon’ was the victim of a nasty knockout courtesy of the boxer from Cyprus. Not many people expected Larkin to stand and trade with the former pro boxer, and it proved to be rather unwise.
As entertaining as the fight was, I can’t help but think Larkin came in with the wrong gameplan, one which fed in to his opponent’s plans on fight night. Props to LL, he managed to get a few good shots in, but was no match for Costa’s big 1-2 combo half way through round one. Larkin ended flat on the mat, and skids to 1-3 for the promotion.
