Chan Sung Jung aka "The Korean Zombie" defeated Dustin Poirier in the Main Event of  UFC on Fuel TV 3  in Virginia by D'Arce choke in the fourth round. This was a thrilling fight which did not disappoint anyone. Jung's grappling was much more impressive than it had been in the past and his transitions were simply flawless.

Poirier was highly favored going into this match and his performance in the Octagon showed as he listened to his corner and outmaneuvered his opponent on numerous occassions with a few picture-perfect reversals.

In round 2,Jung dropped Poirier with a knee, and went for an armbar which  transitioned into a triangle, to another armbar and back to a triangle. Poirier deftly maneuvered out but was caught again at 30 seconds left in the round and looked close to tapping out in the final seconds before he was saved by the bell.

Poirier went on the offensive in the third as Jung was resembling his nickname in a negative way by dropping his guard a few times and looking gassed. Poirier seemed sure to win the fight by looking fresherr than Jung at the close of the round.

Appearances can be deciving as Jung nailed him with an uppercut, followed with a flying knee and he took Poirier to the mat and submitted him in a D'Arce choke.

Jung admitted that he thought it was almost over for him in the third via interpreter: "He had me in trouble there at the beginning of the third round, but I just kept going and I got the win."

It is unknown whom Jung will face next, it may be the winner of the Hatsu Hioki vs. Ricardo Lamas match set for June 22, 2012. However, the Korean Zombie named who he has his mind set on to face next and answered in English: "Jose Aldo."

Zombi always delivers, that was a great fight, Zobi is becoming a big thing in the Ufc, despite that he is a little guy.

Korean Zombie only made this fight look competitive because he had bad cardio. Every situation they were in he had the definite edge. Standing, or on the ground the skill set of the Korean Zombie was a level ahead.

I'll be the first to admit I literally gave Zombie hardly any chance here, I thought Poirer was going to walk through him. IMO Poirer looked a little off, maybe the main event status got to him but it doesn't matter because Zombie looks unreal!

It's hard to believe how far Zombie has come since losing to Garcia and Roop, even since his first fight in the UFC.

Zombie lost 1st fight to Garcia by decision, the 2nd fight Zombie won by submission. Avenged his loss.

But the first fight with Garcia he got completely robbed. Everyone could see the Zombie won that one

    Great fight.

The UFC would be smart to put Jung in a title fight now while his stock is high. He's going to get crushed if he fights Aldo, but at least Jose will get some hype out of it.

The Korean Zombie looked excellent in this fight--as he has for his last few fights.

It's strange--it is like he is not the same fighter who slobberknocked with Leonard Garcia or got head kicked by Roop.

While he slowed down in the 3rd round, so did Poirer--and I attribute that not to bad cardio, but to the incredible pace both fighters kept during the first two rounds. Poirer was saved by the bell from a lightning fast triangle by the Zombie.

While many found the Zombie entertaining in his slugfest days, I was not a big fan--but I am a fan of the new, technically slick Zombie.
