UFC 160 Medical Suspensions: Three fighters face long layoffs

UFC 160 was a hard-hitting event, and with it came the expected injuries. Glover Teixeira was surprisingly on the short list of fighters potentially suspended for up to six months. His status will be pending x-rays on his elbow and hand to check for any broken bones suffered in his one-sided submission over James Te-Huna.

The other fighters facing lengthy suspensions are of course Mark Hunt for his gruesome broken right toe, and lightweight Gray Maynard for an eye injury in his knockout loss to TJ Grant. Check out the full UFC 160 medical suspensions below:

Antonio Silva – suspended until 6/25, no contact until 6/16

Junior dos Santos – suspended until 6/25, no contact until 6/16

Mark Hunt – must have broken right big toe cleared by a doctor or no contest until 11/22, minimum no contest until 7/25, no contact until 7/10

Glover Teixeira – must have right hand and left elbow x-rayed. If positive then must clear with doctor or no contest until 11/22

Gray Maynard – needs ophthalmologist clearance for dilated right pupil or no contest until 11/22; minimum suspension no contest until 07/25, no contact until 07/10

Donald Cerrone – suspended until 7/10; no contact until 6/26 for right elbow and right eyebrow lacerations

KJ Noons – suspended until 7/25; no contact until 7/25 for multiple face lacerations

Mike Pyle – suspended until 6/25; no contact until 6/16

Rick Story – suspended until 7/10; no contact until 6/25

Dennis Bermudez – must have both feet & right hand x-rayed; if positive then doctor clearance or no contest until 11/22; minimum suspension no contact until 06/25, no contest until 06/16

Max Holloway – suspended until 6/25; no contest until 6/16

Colton Smith – suspended until 7/10; no contact until 6/25

Habib Nurmagomedov”>KHabib Nurmagomedov – must have orthopedic evaluation on left knee and be cleared by doctor otherwise no contest until 11/22

Stephen Thompson – must have left foot x-rayed, if positive then must be cleared by doctor or no contest until 11/22

Brian Bowles – must have right hand x-rayed, if positive then must be cleared by doctor or no contest until 11/22; minimum suspension no contest until 7/10; no contact until 6/25

Estevan Payan – suspended until 7/25; no contact until 7/25
