UFC Veteran thinks no one, not even Logan Paul, “believes Jake Paul can beat Anthony Joshua in a boxing match”
Chael Sonnen feels like not even Logan Paul could conceivably believe that his brother Jake Paul will be able to beat Anthony Joshua in their Queensberry Rules showdown on Friday, December 19th on Netflix.
Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua
This was expressed by the froemr two division UFC title challenger during an appearance onThe Ariel Helwani Show, with an excerpt posted to the titular figure’s X account, Sonnen said,
“Those odds are 100% representative that the public does not believe that this is a shoot. This is the most obvious sporting event of my lifetime. I have never not in a local little league game, there has never been a sporting event in my time on this earth that has more obvious of an outcome… I believe it’s a shoot, but I’m just telling you there is nobody, including Jake Paul’s brother, that believes Jake Paul can beat Joshua in a boxing match… It’s a really interesting one.”
Chael Sonnen touches on the Dana White and francis ngannou situation
Chael Sonnen addressed several topical situations in combat sports these days and he offered up his thoughts on the recent Dana White-Francis Ngannou discourse. A brief overview of this recent situation came from White claiming that Ngannou was physical with both himself as well as UFC CBO Hunter Campbell with Ngannou appearing on a separateepisode of Helwani’s program whereby he didn’t defintively refute that he got physical with the UFC figurehead.
Touching upon this latest chapter of the Ngannou-White rivalry story, Sonnen stated [via BJPenn.com],
“I heard that story for years that Francis made contact, not with Dana, but I knew that he did with Hunter. I didn’t believe the story. I never talked about it because I never believed it… I thought they would have fired him right on the spot. I told you about my altercation with Francis… I only bring that up because Francis didn’t really do anything. I mean, he turned around and he raised his voice, but that was the same thing I was doing.”
“I’m just not as frightening-looking as Francis. “I don’t think we can hold against Francis that he happens to be a really frightening-looking person. I think that Francis’ actions, for the most part, are probably in line with what a lot of other people would do. But maybe he gets a little bit harsher criticism because he would go into the category of terrifying.”
