UFC 179 Jose Aldo vs Chad Mendes Fight Video Highlights
UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo successfully defended his title at UFC 179,in a back-and-forth thriller with his old rival Chad Mendes. “Junior” gave as good as he got, with both guys getting dropped in the opening round. In his seventh straight title defense, the Nova Uniao product got the unanimous nod after five exciting rounds.
There were questions surrounding Aldo’s desire to continue at the top of the featherweight food chain, most of which were answered quite clearly in his victory over the number one contender. Can he make it eight on the bounce with the rest of the super-talented line up at 145 pounds now? Time will tell.
