UFC 153 Post-Fight Interviews: Anderson Silva says he is a Jedi

In a series of post-fight interviews courtesy of FuelTV.com, UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva describes his brutal performance in destroying Stephan Bonnar last night. Noting that his coaches wanted him to switch positons to avoid the wrestling of Bonnar, Silva told them to calm down, because he is a Jedi. With his UFC win streak at an unbelievable 16 fights, Silva touched on the topic of his oft-discussed superfight with Georges St. Pierre, who faces Carlos Condit next month in Montreal.

Dana White was on hand to discuss the happenings of the event, noting that Aderson Silva is the best fighter of all time who just finished a fighter who has never been stopped. White wishes Silva to fight Jon Jones in a battle of champions. While both fighters have said they would not face each other, White is confident that the challenge and the money available for that bout would persuade them to take part. Speculation is running rampant over Anderson Silva‘s next bout, but there isn’t much left for Anderson Silva to accomplish. White also praised Big Nog for his warhorse attitude in his win over Herman. White ended by downplaying his supposed rift with Jon Fitch.

He proved this last night with an impressive submission over Dave Herman only ten months after having multiple screws placed in his right arm after Frank Mir broke it. Big Nog had high praise for Dana White and the UFC for their excellent treatment of his injury when he required treatment. Nogueira is an undeniable legend who deserves the respect of MMA fans everywhere.

Rounding out the interviews, hot prospect Glover Teixeira discussed his fight with Fabio Maldonado that turned into a brutal bout from the start. Teixeira admitted he was surprised the referee did not stop the fight after the first round. Teixeira states that he wants to fight Quinton Rampage Jackson, but only if he comes in motivated and in good shape for the bout. The sky seems to be the limit for the Chuck Liddell-trained Brazilian fighter.
