UFC Fight Night 77 went down in Sao Paolo, Brazil last night (Saturday November 7, 2015) and provided some brutal knockouts and exciting action throughout. Check out the best and worst…..

Headlined by Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson’s trilogy making fight, UFC Fight Night 77 was a reasonably decent event, providing four straight knockout finishes on the main card. Take a look at the best and worst of UFC Fight Night 77.

The Best

Thomas Almeids’s harrowing finish of Anthony Birchak was the best moment of the night in my opinion. ‘Terminator’ lived up to his hype last night, scoring a brutal right hand finish over Birchak in the very first round. The Chute Boxe 24-year old prospect Almeida is legit, period.

Alex Oliveira needs to get props for his awesome finish against Piotr Hallman, because it was simply a thing of beauty.

Vitor Belfort’s finish against Dan Henderson in the evening’s main event was pretty much a carbon copy of his first round stoppage over Hendo in 2013. As much as the guy’s reputation precedes him in the wrong way mostly, he certainly can still finish a fight, and didn’t look anywhere near as roided up as last time.

Tibau

The Worst

The Glieson Tibau vs. Abel Trujillo stoppage was simply terrible, and made for the worst highlight of the evening’s festivities. The storied and well travelled veteran Tibau was undoubtedly en route to an impressive win anyhow, but the bungling referee stopping the action so unnecessarily early was just annoying.

The weather at the UFC Fight Night 77 fight week sucked, and forced the cancellation of the official open workouts. First time?

Clay Guida’s performance was simply awful. He didn’t get any sort of rhythm going, but in fairness he wasn’t given much of a chance.

Gilbert Burns simply didn’t show up last night in Brazil, as he lost for the first time as a pro against Rashid Magomedov on the main card. Burns and Magomedov are both highly touted lightweight prospects, but only one really wanted that win last night.
