Santiago Luna’s Undefeated Streak Intact After Spectacular Win Over Angel Pacheco – UFC Mexico Highlights
Santiago Luna kept his undefeated record intact, earning a decisive victory over Angel Pacheco to kick off the UFC Mexico main card.
Luna came out slinging heavy leather and dominated the first round on his feet. In the second, ‘Borderboy’ opted to flex his grappling game, working Pacheco to the mat early on. Before long, Pacheco managed to fight his way back up, but not before eating a nasty knee from the Luna.
Upright, Luna continued to control the action, landing a nasty combination against the fence that put Pacheco on wobbly legs. But instead of going for the kill, Luna put his opponent on his back for the second time, securing another round on the scorecards.
With Luna’s pace starting to slow in the third, Pacheco found some success on his feet, but a takedown from Luna momentarily halted the momentum he’d been building. Pacheco nearly found himself in a guillotine, but he managed to pop his head out with just over a minute to go in the contest.
Pacheco ended up in top control as a result, but it didn’t take much for Luna to work his way up and finish things up with a late-fight flurry.
