Rumor: Fedor Emelianenko gets his hand injured in training, could be sidelined for months

According to the British website MMABay.co.uk, WAMMA Heavyweight Champion and arguably number one Pound-for-Pound fighter in the world Fedor Emelianenko, severely injured his hand in training.

Sources close to “The Last Emperor” (a very reliable sources, according to MMABay.co.uk) revealed at the Arnold Exhibition in Columbus that the injury is very serious and could keep the Strikeforce fighter out for a few months.

Fedor Emelianenko and M-1 Global are currently in an advanced stage of negotiations with Strikeforce over the fight against Fabricio Werdum on May 15th at St. Louis, Missouri. If the “injury rumors” will appear to be true, Scott Coker‘s promotion will have a very tough time lining up an event that could compete with UFC 113: Machida vs Shogun that will take place on May 8th.
