Robbie Lawler Shoots Up To #3 In The Welterweight Rankings

UFC Welterweight Robbie Lawler made an impact at UFC 167, putting a stern beating on hailed title contender Rory MacDonald and cementing his place for comeback career of the year.

The impact wasn’t limited to Lawler’s fist to MacD’s chin, it dropped a bomb on the official Welterweight rankings, as Lawler jumped a spectacular seven places on the stacked list. Coming in to the UFC 167 bout with ‘Ares’, Lawler stood a respectable #10 on the list, having earned KO wins over Bobby Voelker and Josh Koscheck since resigning with the promotion.

‘Ruthless’ sent everyone from #3 to #10 but Jake Shields and Demian Maia down a spot with the win, and sits only behind perrenial contenders Carlos Condit and Johny Hendricks.
