The case stems from an August 23, 2025, incident at KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Sun Valley, Los Angeles. Jackson, a 26-year-old streamer and MMA practitioner, planned to interfere in a match with Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith, a military veteran wrestler. Earlier that day, Smith smashed an empty can on Jackson’s head while in character; they agreed to turn it into a scripted spot.
Jackson body-slammed Smith, knocking him out cold, then landed at least 20 punches to his head. Other wrestlers pulled him off; he fled the venue with blood on his shirt. Smith spent days in intensive care with jaw trauma, a maxilla bone fracture, lip laceration, lost teeth, and a serious head injury.
Arrested a month later on September 19, 2025, Jackson posted $50,000 bail. Prosecutors filed felony battery with GBI enhancement and misdemeanour battery, carrying up to four years base, plus three more from the enhancement for a total of seven years if convicted. He pleaded not guilty in October 2025.
The plea deal sets sentencing for June 22, 2026, at the San Fernando Courthouse. Expected terms include 90 days county jail, $81,703.38 restitution to Smith (covering bills and lost income), and two years of formal probation. Attorneys David Otunga and Sarmen Tahmasian reviewed the deal on a May 12, 2026, YouTube stream. Tahmasian noted San Fernando requires full-time upfront, skipping L.A. County’s overcrowding credits that often cut sentences short.
Otunga, a former WWE wrestler and lawyer, called out the “seven-year tail.” Probation breach triggers automatic seven-year state prison. He said even small slips now carry a huge risk after the jail stint.
